A Letter from Kimberly
Hello, and welcome.
I'm glad you're here.
If you've found your way to this corner of the internet, chances are you're searching for something: a solution, a new perspective, a resource, a partnership, or perhaps simply reassurance that someone else understands the tension between where you are and where you’re trying to be.
I've spent much of my life searching for those things myself.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of serving people in different capacities; from Chief of Staff, High School Principal, Director of Human Resources, Human Service Advocate, consultant, nonprofit founder. Each role looked different on paper, but they all shared a common purpose: helping people untangle complexity, unlock possibility, and build better futures for themselves, their organizations, and the communities they serve.
Along the way, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Secondary Education, and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management. My grandmothers taught me to value education; not for the letters behind my name, but for the way learning equips us to solve problems, ask better questions, and create stronger pathways forward.
Some of my proudest accomplishments have never been about titles.
They have been about people.
Those moments matter to me because I believe every person deserves the opportunity to thrive.
Throughout my career, I have been drawn to the spaces where people feel overlooked and systems need strengthening. Rather than seeing obstacles, I've always seen invitations; opportunities to listen, learn, build, and create something meaningful.
This belief has guided my work in education, organizational leadership, workforce development, and now through Viv & Gin Consulting and The Sonder Center.
Viv & Gin exists to help organizations strengthen their people, culture, and systems so they can create workplaces where both organizational health and individual health are not mutually exclusive.
The Sonder Center was born from something deeply personal. As part of a family navigating differently, able children; my lived experience is rooted in the challenges, isolation, and resilience that often accompany that journey. The Sonder Center exists because I believe connection, community, and thriving should be a part of every care plan.
While these initiatives may appear different, they are all connected by the same conviction:
People deserve better systems.
Systems that work.
Systems that see them.
Systems that create access, opportunity, dignity, and belonging.
This website is a reflection of that belief.
It is a place where I share ideas, resources, lessons learned, and the work I am building alongside incredible people and communities. It is also a place where curiosity is welcome, hard conversations are encouraged, and meaningful solutions are pursued.
Here is where I will continue asking thoughtful questions, challenging assumptions, building boldly, and working alongside others to create positive change.
I’m grateful you’re here.
Whether you are a leader, caregiver, educator, entrepreneur, advocate, or someone simply trying to figure out what comes next, I hope you leave feeling encouraged, equipped, and reminded that meaningful change is always possible.
The work continues.
And I am honored that our paths have crossed.
